چکیده

This study assessed the environmental performance and energy efficiency of electricity generation from rice straw using a combined gasification internal combustion engine (G/ICE). A life cycle assessment (LCA) was performed to consider conversion straw, production which based on Philippine farming practice. Rice is treated as milled coproduct assumes an burden allocated by mass. The results impact for climate change used directly in system dynamic model plot accumulated greenhouse gas emissions compare with various cases order perform sensitivity analyses. At productivity 334 kWh/t, global warming potential (GWP) equal 0.642 kg CO2-eq/MJ, 27% lower than GWP on-site burning. Mitigating biogenic methane flooded fields could reduce 34%, while zero net carbon can be achieved at 2.78 CO2/kg sequestration. Other sources (GHG) are use fossil fuels chemicals agricultural use. machinery transport lorries has highest eutrophication human toxicity, application pesticides fertilizers ecotoxicity. biomass ratio (BER) (NER) 0.065 1.64, respectively. BER NER improved higher 22% 50%. produced G/ICE supply farm plant operations process.

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

Exploration of a Fuel Cell/Internal Combustion Engine Combined Cycle for High Efficiency Power Generation (A GCEP Exploratory Project) Investigators

Internal combustion (IC) engines serve as a viable small-scale and portable option for electricity generation. While there are several aspects of IC engines that limit their efficiency, one of the major detractors is the unrestrained combustion reaction that is the initial step in the conversion of the chemical bond energy of the fuel into useful work. Another viable small-scale electricity gen...
